James Hawksley - Jack

Born and raised in Newfoundland, James has studied acting in L.A, New York, and     Toronto. Recent local roles have included the lead role in the feature film By Night, as  wells as roles in Humanesque, Grown Up Movie Star, Diverted, and Mayday. Some of James' recent theatre productions include The Rocky Horror Show, A Mid Summer Night's Dream, The Merchant of Venice, and Soldier's Heart. As a personality, he has worked with OZ FM and NTV as part of the OZ FM Summer Cruiser Team. Aside from acting, James is also an international model, a professional illusionist/magician, and a black belt martial artist

 

 

 

Jennifer Smith -Jenny

IMG_1736-2 A fairly new actress on the Newfoundland scene, Jennifer has been busy performing around the city with Erika Wilansky’s “Eye Candy” Burlesque group, dancing with Mount Pearl School of Dance, and modeling with X-Posure International. Jennifer is currently finishing her last semester of a Joint Commerce-English degree at Memorial University, and plans to spend the next year increasing her film and theatre involvement in anticipation of further performing arts training next fall.

 

Andy Jones - Professor Corpsinski

Andy Jones has been a professional writer and actor for over thirty years. He has written five critically acclaimed one-man comedy shows: Out of the Bin, Still Alive, King O’ Fun, To The Wall, and An Evening with Uncle Val. He has extensively toured, to critical acclaim, across Canada, the UK, and Ireland.

He is well known in Canada as one of the groundbreaking Newfoundland comedy troupe CODCO, in both its theatrical and television incarnations.

Andy’s numerous awards include two Gemini awards, five Gemini nominations, two Emmy nominations, two Genie nominations, election to the Newfoundland Arts Council Hall of Honour, The Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council’s Award of Excellence, and the ACTRA Award of Excellence for Lifetime Achievement.

Justin Madol - Director/Co-Producer

Justin Madol is a fifth year university student studying a double major in English and Anthropology, who has also completed the diploma program in Performance and Communications Media at Memorial University. Aside from directing the 2007 short film "Hit and Run", Justin is mostly known for his acting work, having appeared in seven plays in the past year. He made his feature film debut in the Pope Productions film "Screamers" last February, and also starred as the title role in the wildly successful stage adaptation of Donnie Darko in August.

 

Tommy Gushue - Producer

Tommy Gushue is a screenwriter/producer based out of St. John's. Besides optioning an original series to the CBC this past winter, Tommy has won several screenwriting competitions, most recently the 2008 PEI Island Media Screenwriting Competition, and currently works as a personal reader/intern for Alex Epstein (Bon Cop, Bad Cop). Tommy has worked various positions in the local film community, and has performed screenplay analysis and coverage for hundreds of screenplays. He is represented by David Ritchie of Ambition Talent in Toronto.

Ian Vatcher - Cinematographer/Co-Producer

Ian Vatcher is a Freelance Cinematographer/ Camera Operator / Photographer based in St. John's, and is currently working for Wavelight Productions. This year, he will be finishing his Honors degree in Sociology and Anthropology at Memorial University. Aside from working on commercials for Ford, New Brunswick Tourism, Atlantic Lotto Corp, General Motors, and the Multi Materials Stewardship Board, Ian has also worked on the 9/11-based film, "Diverted" as well as short films; "Ten Days", "The King Hunt", "Jerry" and the CBC Mini-series "Above & Beyond". Ian has just completed shooting a music video for local band, The Idler's, as well as the visual effects components for the recent stage adaptation of Donnie Darko.

 

Nima Yousefi - Screenwriter

Nima Yousefi was born in Tehran, Iran, at the height of Iranian Revolution. Five weeks after he was born, his family was forced to flee from their home and escape to the United States. He grew up in New York and Virginia, before settling in southern California to attend the University of California, San Diego, where he studied Biology and Literature. Currently residing in Los Angelas, Nima is now pursuing a career in screenwriting.
